Angel (F)

Date of birth: March 2013 High to shoulder: 30 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed: August 2014 Angel was left alone in the yard of a house for over a year, when Angels’ owner was leaving Cyprus he didn’t want her and was going to have her euthanized. Angel was collected and put in private kennels the day she had her appointment at the vet. Angel has not had a lot of contact with people and other dogs and was terrified of the lead. Angel is having daily training sessions and is gaining confidence around people but is very wary of other dogs. She is very affectionate and has a strong bond with the lady who rescued her but is nervous of strangers until she gets to know them. Angel is good in the car and walks well on the lead. She is OK with cats but due to her nervousness is better in a home without children or other dogs. She needs an owner who will be able to give her confidence and bring her out of her shell. She is a lovely girl who likes nothing more than curling up on your lap, she has had a bad experience with people and needs a special owner to give her the life she deserves. Henry (F)

Date of birth: April 2014 High to shoulder: 26 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed: August 2014 Henry was found together with his brother Morgan. Both were and are still very thin, but were thoroughly checked by a vet and they are healthy. It is not known how long they had been traveling alone. His brother Morgan is very open towards people, but Henry has had probably a bad experience. If you want to take him on the arm, he screams as if it were a matter of life and death. He makes even the first steps in the right direction, but still everything is very new to him. Morgan, however, is just a happy puppy and will infect his brother sooner or later with his joy for life. Morgan is a real little charmer. How big the two will be, we don´t know. Dandy (P)

Date of birth: April 2014 High to shoulder: 37 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed: August 2014 Dandy and Andy were given, along with their sister Candy, to PAWS, to give them the chance of a good home. The previous home was not good and only because animal loving people have taken care of the puppies and the mum did all puppies survive. Candy was rehomed recently here in Cyprus, and now her two brothers are waiting for the good luck to find a new home too. Dandy is just a typical puppy, cheerful and with no fear of humans. He will be a big dog. The mother is a German shepherd, the father unknown, or could also be a German shepherd or maybe a husky. Dandy will not be small for very long as even now he is a big, strong dog. He, like all his brothers and sisters, has a wonderful character and does of course still have a lot to learn. Daisy 5 (F)

Date of birth: May 2014 High to shoulder: 20 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed: August 2014 Daisy was, with her brothers Dennis, Dixie and Dougie, her sisters Domino and Pandora and their mother, discovered and rescued in a village. The six are now 10 weeks old, healthy and jolly. They play and interact with each other, but every little ball of fur wants his own family! They are currently small, between 19 cm and 24 cm, but will still grow a little more. A specially designed family kennel was built for them all because there was no other way to accommodate them. Unfortunately, that’s the sad reality – the shelters have been overcrowded for some time now, but daily there are puppies found who would like to live in safety. Earl 2 (F)

Date of birth: April 2014 High to shoulder: 39 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed: August 2014 Earl was found in the middle of a road. He was laying across his dead sister and just watched over her lifeless body. Earl is only 3 months old and has already experienced a lot of bad luck. We suspect that both puppies had been simply abandoned and attempting to cross the street, his sister was hit and killed by a car. So, so sad. Animal lovers took him home and now we very much hope that he will soon find the loving family and new start he so deserves. Earl has big fears abandonment because of his experience, which is not surprising at all. If you leave him alone briefly, he cries piteously. He always wants to be with people and only then he is really happy and relaxed. He will need patience and training to help him get over these fears, but he will get over them. He has a wonderful character and is a very nice guy. All he wants is lots of love and attention. We assume that Earl will be a big dog. He is very intelligent and can learn a lot when he is promoted accordingly. He will learn that long walks are fun and he would get great pleasure in that, along with his new family to help him to discover a whole new world. Will Earl be treated like a king in your family? Bruce (J)

Date of birth: January 2014 High to shoulder: currently 33 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed: August 2014 Little Bruce got dumped together with his two brothers at a shelter. He was just 2 months old. Fortunately, the shelter could create space in a kennel for the brothers and now they live there. Bruce is a typical playful puppy and he loves the attention of people. We assume that when he is fully grown he will be medium sized dog. Boogie has shorter fur than the other two. Bruce certainly need a bit more grooming.
