Gael

Name: Gael (male) Date of birth:  April 2014 Height to shoulder:  42 cm Vaccinated:  yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Homed: June 2017   The former owner of Gael and four other Beagles turned to the shelter asking if they could take the dogs because he have not enough time for them. He talked about his babies and how much he loves them and how hard the decision is for him. We were expecting a little happy beagle team and they were very sad that they had to leave their humans.  When Gael came to the shelter with Joquin, Lucky, Uma and Carrie, we didn´t believe our eyes. There was not a funny Beagle group wandering through the gate, no, there were very distraught and frightened, some more shy, other more reserved.  We have no idea how the conditions were where they lived and what they’ve experienced, but it’s not normal for that breed Beagle to be distraught and frightened in that way. Now we are glad that his “babies” are with us and we can try to pampered all of them with loves and attention as much as possible. Would be better they could find a lovely home soon, but we think they are now better in the shelter than before.  Gael is one of the most frightened of the five Beagles. He is almost panicked when you try to stroke him. It hurts to watch at him when he is like that and we hope we can help him to overcome soon. Gael needs a family, who help him to overcome his fears as well as possible. We can not say if he can have a completely fearless life one day. If you are in love with Gael and you would like to help him back to life, please contact us.    ...

Shima

Name: Shima (female) Date of birth:  December 2014 Height to shoulder:  57 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Homed: June 2017   Shima is one of the pointer of the hunting season 2016 who landed in a pound. Why she landed there, maybe she was left by hunters or ran away, we don´t know and we will probably never know.   Shima had the great luck that she could changed from the pound to a shelter. The vet check revealed that she is very thin, but healthy.   Shima just shows shyness in front of us humans, but trust very quickly and then she shows her very dear character. She is incredibly pleased with every attention and patting she can get from us. With dogs she is very good, very friendly and tolerable.   If you are in love with Shima and you would like to give her a loving and active home, please contact us.    ...

Goffrey

Name: Goffrey (male) Date of birth:  October 2016 Height to shoulder: currently 50 cm Vaccinated:  yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Homed: June 2017   Goffrey was found outside of a village and could find a place in a foster home. He can stay there until he has found a home. Goffrey has a short tail, so we assume that he was with a hunter before. Goffrey is still very young. He was probably taken to a hunt by his owner this year, and perhaps ran away at the first shot or was “not good enough” and left behind. Goffrey is an energetic boy, so he is looking for an active family. The family should want to do a lot of things with him like long walks, plays and go to the dog school would be fun for him. So definitely not a dog for couch potatos.  His foster mommy trained already a bit with him, but of course she has not enough time for longer training because she has more foster dogs with her and all of them want her attention.  If you are in love with our gorgeous boy Goffrey and you would like to give him a loving and active home, please contact us.    ...

Roumbi

Name: Roumbi (male) Date of birth:  May 2012 Height to shoulder:  34 cm Vaccinated:  yes Neutered:  yes ok with dogs, ok with cats Homed: June 2017   Roumbi was born in May 2012 and he is in the shelter since May 2016. The story of Roumbi makes you sad and angry at the same time. Roumbi was handed over by her owner at the shelter because she said she could no longer take care of him. She had found him about 3 years ago, kept him and handed him off at the shelter.   However, it turned out that she had not really cared about him before. Both eyes were clouded and the vet check of the eyes revealed that he can not see very well, the blood test revealed the reason of his poor state, Roumbi is leishmaniosis positive.   Now Roumbi gets medication in the shelter and we have the hope that his eyes will a bit recover and he will not be blind.   Roumbi is a very nice and friendly dog, he is well with dogs and cats and he also loves children.   We really hope that he will find a home despite he was tested positive for leishmaniosis. He is such a nice dog and he deservers a good home very much. If you are in love with Roumbi and want to give him a loving home, please contact us.    ...
