Gina was exposed and lived for a time in a field in a village near Larnaca. Maybe she was exposed because she was pregnant, or she became pregnant during the time in the field, we don´t know. She gave birth in this field and could take care of them, until she was captured by the community.

Residents noticed that only Gina was captured but not her puppies, so they organized that Gina and her puppies were brought together in a shelter.

Gina is still very shy and afraid of unfamiliar people. Gina has no problems with other dogs and gets along well with them.
