Flight 21th March 2014 from Larnaca to Hamburg

Tomorrow on Friday 21th March 2014 the following dogs fly off to Hamburg to their new homes: Aaron, Marco and Luca. All three dogs have found a foster home in Germany. We hope Aaron, Marco and Luca will find quickly a home in Germany. We are especially pleased for Aaron, who had to wait nearly four years at the shelter for his chance. Aaron is a great boy who has no chance of adoption in Cyprus. Many many thanks to the foster home who takes Aaron under her care. Our Heike from Germany will accompany this flight, as flight sponsor. She will also foster our beautiful Marco. He finally gets his chance at a better life. For us inconceivable that he hasn´t been adopted yet. Thank you very much Heike! Even Luca will make someone very happy in Germany. He’s a great dog and everything about him is just adorable. We thank the people who take him under care. Please think twice before you buy a Husky in Cyprus

Hello Cypriots! Imagine the following situation: You are forced now to live in Alaska. Without your family, because your familiy remains in Cyprus. Without your car. Now you must travel on foot any distance in the freezing cold, and the distances in Alaska are huge! Your beloved Souvla or Meze there will be no more. If you’re hungry, then you need to eat what you find on your way. Of course, you will not be able to console himself with Zivania, it´s still snow everywhere which you can ”drink”. Would you feel under these circumstances still like a real Cypriot ? Or would this life worth living for you? No? But just as you would feel now feel all Huskies who have to live in Cyprus. Why ? Because it´s too hot in Cyprus for Huskies! Because they want to enjoy walking and they can´t because they have to spend their lives in cages or tied on a chain! Because they live alone without their conspecifics! Because they have to live a not typical life for a Husky! A husky loves it especially cold. Really cold! He loves frost, snow and ice. All of this doesn´t exist in Cyprus! He has a fur which protects him from the cold, but not before the heat! He suffers in the heat! He needs more than any other breed of dog to live in a pack with several other Huskies, as you need your family. He needs to cover longer distances on foot, for what do you have your car. He needs to live like a Husky as you need to live like a real Cypriot. Can you offer your Husky such a typical Husky life? Please note all aspects of a Husky life before you buy a Husky! A husky in Cyprus live no species-appropriate life just as you in Alaska. It’s already too late and you have a Husky? CyDRA are trying to help Huskies. Some Huskies are picked up and transferred to Germany by owners who can keep your Husky appropriately. There is even a foster home, where already Huskies live from Cyprus in a pack and will be employed appropriately. They are used in draft dogs sport, they even pull a sled in the snow. This is what Huskies love so much!!! This is exactly what Huskies were bred! Of course, a Husky looks great, but just because you own a Husky you ‘re not a Cypriot. Flight 16th March 2014 from Larnaca to Frankfurt & Arrival

On Sunday 16th March 2014 the following dogs fly off to Frankfurt to their new homes: Aimy, Mark and Noel. Aimy and Mark have already found a home. Noel has found a foster home in Germany and searches from there for a forever home. We wish a smooth flight and landing and wonderful new dog lifes. Good luck beauties! Aimy was able to spend a night with Julie and Eamonn before departure. Both had fun with her. They describe her as a very friendly little dog. When flight to Germany she was allowed to travel in a puppy bag, where you can’t really see her in that one. Here are the photos before departure: Arrival report from Germany: The new families were at the airport very excited and looking forward to their new family members. After a brief greeting they could close their dog in the arms. After a short walk, in which every blade of grass was sniffed, it was time for the journey to their homes. Aimy is a totally sweet, open-minded and playful dog. The children had immediately fallen in love with her and Aimy has quickly realized that she has good there and all play and cuddle with her. Mark (is now called Lou) is a wonderful handsome young dog, who must now look forward to be home with lots of cuddles and long walks. Lou was initially a bit unsure and confused what is happening with him, but he quickly took confidence in the arms of his family. Noel was allowed to move into a foster home near Stuttgart and wait for his forever family. Noel is a beautiful, open-minded and cuddly dog. On Monday 17th March 2014 Tilda flies off to her new forever home and Tristan flies off to his foster home in Germany. The landing is in Dusseldorf. After a long search Tilda has finally found her people and may live a species-appropriate dog life. Tristan has found a foster home in Germany and is allowed to prepare for his forever home. Zebedee – is now called Oskar

Hi everybody, I am Oskar. Formerly called Zebedee. I am now living with my family in Beckedorf/Germany and I have now already captured the hearts of my people. But that is not difficult, because I am a very nice guy. I knew it always been, but now it’s official. My family is ok too. Especially with the food, it works fine. I have all wrapped around “my” little finger and I am very eager to do everything right. My people are very happy with me, it’s me as well. Sometimes I’m a little anxious, but I have all love people at my side who help me to conquer the fear. In the photos you can see me with my master. Note from the family: Our Oscar is a treasure.
