Read MoreSunday evening saw around 150 people arrive to see the King! And he didn’t let us down. The evening commenced with Eamonn welcoming everyone and thanking them for attending to help us raise some much needed funds! Chris King as Elvis was, as usual, brilliant. He not only sounds and looks like Elvis, he has a great sense of humour which adds another dimension to the entertainment. The pictures show clearly how much everyone enjoyed his performances. Elvis mingled with everyone and had some special dedications – Julie particularly liked her song! Elvis gave us two sets with a break in the middle for a very enjoyable buffet. We enjoyed lots of salads and vegetables, with a good choice of meat to accompany it all. For those feeling the need for something healthy there was a fruit salad for dessert. The Episkopi Village Tavern did us proud and we thank them sincerely for hosting this night for us for the second year running. Once again the Tombola proved very popular and thanks to Maggie and helpers and donators for making this possible. This sort of event is great to bring everyone together and to promote the name of CyDRA, but it wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of the organisers and the generosity of the sponsors and hosts. Maggie Dolan put in a lot of time and effort to make this such a great event again. Elvis donated his time for free for us, and we and the dogs can’t thank him enough. Many people donated prizes for the Tombola and all present enjoyed trying to win! The Episkopi Tavern is a great venue for an event like this and, once again, the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The event raised just over €1,100, which is amazing. Without this sort of fund raising event it is difficult to carry on the work we do, so again many, many thanks to all who contributed. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures and perhaps you will join us next time round? Related...
