Buddy (F)

Date of birth: January 2014 High to shoulder: 28 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: no, too young Homed: June 2014   Hi there! I don’t know what my name is or where I am coming from, but early on May 1st. I came to the gate of Francoise and Stein. I was cold and wet. They took me in and dried me in this very good blanket. Then they fed me and gave me water. Man, did they have many cats. I cannot count, but I hear they say that they have 12 cats. And then there in this dog, Jack. I understand that he also is a rescue dog, a Jack Russell. I am starting to understand how to cope with all these cats. It is not easy. OK, I have got quite a few punches on my nose from the cats and it hurts. The main problem is Jack. He is probably jealous at me and he is attacking me. It is not nice and his biting really hurts me. I know that Francoise and Stein would take care of me until someone else comes along who can give me a permanent and good home. I will do my best to please you and I even don’t mind to travel to come to your home. Please contact Francoise or Stein as soon as you can via call 9991810 or 97782130 Thank you – Woof, woof.     Related...

Owen (F)

Date of birth: December 2013 High to shoulder: 30 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed: June 2014   Owen was found by animal rights activists on the street and brought temporarily to their friends. What exactly happens there, we don´t know, we only received a frantic call: „Owen is in a very bad state, we don´t know what’s going on with him.“ One of our foster homes spared no effort and drove immediately to the people to take the little Owen. It was Saturday evening, no vet had opened and she decided to take him first to her home. She spent the evening with Owen on the sofa and suddenly she realized that there was blood everywhere… It was already after midnight and the vet removed about 20 km, but it was also because no hesitation, everyone knew for Owen it´s a matter of life and death. We still don´t know what exactly was the cause, but we suspect that the Shepherds of the people with whom Owen was first treated him very roughly and this had caused internal bleeding. Owen stood for 2 days on the threshold of death. He had high fever and was very anemic, but that is a thing of the past … now Owen looks back to the front and is doing very well. He is a very alert, lively boy and can´t wait to finally discover the world. Owen is very playful and he wants to run, play, learn… everything that such a little dog think of. Would you like to give him this opportunity? Then please contact us.         Related...

Sheba 4 (P)

Date of birth: January 2014 High to shoulder: 34 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed: June 2014   Maple, Goldie, Hattie and Sheba belong to one of the numerous litters that have been left at the gates of the shelter. Never before have so many pups been received, and certainly not as whole litters. The four girls have a brother, Finley, but he is currently reserved at PAWS.  The 5 had the good fortune to get into a foster home, because they were so young that they would not have survived in the shelter. Now they are at PAWS but, except for Finley, none of the girls have found a home.  Finley and his sister Hattie are the two biggest puppies in the litter, all the others are slightly smaller, but otherwise all are very similar. On the video you can see a bright puppy pack that are excited, sniffing around on the floor.  Usually the puppy gang are more interested in people and pleased with every visit, but the video was recorded immediately after feeding time, and it seems as if all 5 want to track down the last morsel of food – nothing to go to waste! All puppies show no fear at the shelter, but of course do not yet know much of the rest of the world. The foster home said that the five were almost house trained just before they were taken back to the shelter. They also had contact with numerous cats and showed no aggression, but wanted to play, of course. If they want to give one of these puppies a home, log on but please contact us.           Related...
