Now she has already recovered very well in her foster home. She is still a little shy with strangers, but she goes to the people and holds fast confidence. She is a gentle and little shy dog who is very willing to learn and capable of learning. In the foster home she learns the first basic commands and she is housetrained. Marco Polo (F)

Date of birth: October 2013 High to shoulder: 34 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed: July 2014 Marco Polo was no longer wanted of his owner. We are sure that this was not Marco Polo´s fault, because he is a completely trouble-free dog. His owner brought him to a shelter, but there Marco Polo has bitten a helper, when he wanted to bring him in a kennel. That has saved his life, because when the shelter people said that they put him to sleep (because of the bite), the owner brought him to our vet. The vet will keep him for so long in foster until a new home is found. Marco is dear to their children, he is playful, like the cats, and even the little puppies Willi, Maja and Flip can´t fazed him. Although he is still young, he is very gentle and caring to the three rascals. Marco is not a barker, because this is the basic requirement that vet ever takes a dog into care. The conditions in a pound are already for adult dogs very bad, but for puppies they are almost unbearable. Luckily we were able to find a place in the shelter for her. Ziggy (J)

Date of birth: July 2013 High to shoulder: 30 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes Homed: July 2014 Ziggy is a wire haired terrier about 10 months old. He was taken to boarding kennels in Limassol when he was only 3 months old to be collected after 4 days. The owner never returned although he promised the kennel owners for many months he would collect him. Ziggy’s future was not certain as the kennel owner could not keep him indefinitely. Ziggy was alone in his concrete kennel for seven months. A volunteer at the kennels became attached to Ziggy because of his wonderful friendly character, his permanently wagging tail and his love for life. Despite being left alone for such a long time Ziggy loved other dogs and people and wanted to say hello to everybody who visited the kennels.
