Three puppies are already adopted and only Mabel, Marcus and Melody are still looking for a home. We assume that all three will be are small to medium sized dogs. The three are typical puppies and have no fear of humans. In the foster home they get used from day to day in a life in a house. Luca 3 (P)

Date of birth: August 2012 High to shoulder: 52 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed: April 2014 Luca has actually smuggled himself onto the page! Perhaps he realizes that this is his only chance for a beautiful home? In my attempts to photograph another dog, I did manage to separate that particular dog from the pack – but never without Luca! Luca was in every kennel before I had the opportunity to close the door. So I decided to go ahead and photograph the other dog, with Luca just laying down and watching the proceedings. When I stroked Luca, I realized just how much he enjoyed it and what a very, very gentle and rather affectionate dog he is. As you can see though, at present he is much too thin. Luca was just abandoned at the gates of the shelter. Perhaps he has failed to make the grade as a hunting dog? We will never know. One thing we do know: Luca is a dog that reaches straight to your heart. His whole being and his style, everything about him is adorable. And what a poser!!! He certainly knows how to work that camera. Luca is a great dog. Of course he has never had training and therefore will have to learn everything, but if you are a family who has that time and love to give you will get a great dog buddy, whose gratitude you will see every day in his eyes. Shaggy (J)

Date of birth: April 2013 High to shoulder: 33 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed: April 2014 Shaggy was found at the beach by one of the shelter volunteers, when she walked her dogs. There were no houses and no other people. By the look of Shaggy it was obvious that he must have been there for a while already. He was so happy that she took notice of him and took him with her. Shaggy is not chipped and since there were no houses around, he must have been dumped at the beach. Shaggy is a very friendly and playful little dog. He loves people, kids and is ok with cats. Dana (F)

Date of birth: October 2013 High to shoulder: 49 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes Homed: April 2014 Dana was given away to a vet. The vet was in love with Dana, so she wanted to keep this great dog, but quickly she realized that she can´t fulfill her lack of time. So now she want to find for Dana a nice home in which she has a lot of exercise, because Dana is very active and full of power. Dana is absolutely willing to learn, but still have to learn a lot. In her foster home she lives with ever-changing dogs, cats and children and has no problems with it. She lives primarily outside and not in the house, so she is not housetrained yet. But we are sure that she will certainly learn it quickly. Dana will be a large dog. For Dana we want an absolutely sporty family, because this dog wants to play, run, learn a lot and go on long walks. She is a clown and full of fun. She is also very affectionate and shows no fear. Trigger 2

Date of birth: January 2014 High to shoulder: 28 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed: April 2014 Trigger is one of the many puppies that have been left at the PAWS Shelter. Since he was in a miserable condition he was very luck to have the good fortune to find a foster home because he would not have survived in the shelter. Lucky boy! In the foster home he has recovered splendidly, but still shows some lack of confidence. He loves people he very much, but at first he is a little shy and submissive. With his foster family though he behaves like a normal, naughty, playful puppy. His whole manner though suggests that it would be best for him to have the security of a permanent family that needs a little dog for his whole life. It would be best if he is slowly introduced to that new life. On leash Trigger has been behaving quite well, and his foster parents have already made a start on exercising him. As you can also see in the pictures, Trigger has no problem with cats! If you have fallen in love with this small boy, please contact us.
