The former owner of Carrie and four other Beagles turned to the shelter asking if they could take the dogs because he have not enough time for them. He talked about his babies and how much he loves them and how hard the decision is for him. We were expecting a little happy beagle team and they were very sad that they had to leave their humans.

When Carrie came to the shelter with Joquin, Lucky, Uma and Gael, we didn´t believe our eyes. There was not a funny Beagle group wandering through the gate, no, there were very distraught and frightened, some more shy, other more reserved.

We have no idea how the conditions were where they lived and what they’ve experienced, but it’s not normal for that breed Beagle to be distraught and frightened in that way.

Now we are glad that his “babies” are with us and we can try to pampered all of them with loves and attention as much as possible. Would be better they could find a lovely home soon, but we think they are now better in the shelter than before.

Carrie is the most frightened of the five Beagles. She is trembling all over her body and is almost panicked when you try to stroke her. It hurts to watch at her when she is like that and we hope we can help her to overcome soon.

Carrie needs a family, who help her to overcome her fears as well as possible. We can not say if she can have a completely fearless life one day.
