Our Pointer girl Amari lives meanwhile one year in Germany in her forever home. One year ago we had nearly no hope, that Amari will find a forever home in her life again. She was in the rehoming as an elderly and leishmaniasis positive tested Pointer girl. But one family in Germany saw her and fell in love with her. Now, our girl lives the life she ever dreamed for. She has best buddies on her side, there are always many hands für cuddles, she enjoys her long walks and new adventures and she looks stunning with her shiny fur and her nice body. When you see her, no one can believe that she is positive tested for leishmaniasis. She looks healthy and she is fit. Name: Buddy (male) Date of birth: July 2011 Height to shoulder: 48 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not tested with cats Admitted to shelter: June 2016 Buddy could be rescued from a totally overcrowded pound and was allowed to move to a shelter. In the pound were too many dogs crammed together in too small kennels. Buddy was lucky that he had not been sitting in that pound for too long, and that his health check showed that he was healthy. Buddy is an open-minded boy. He has a very friendly character and likes us humans. When he arrived at the shelter, he ran up and down happily in the kennel, visibly enjoying the place for running, which he had now. In between, he came to the helpers again and again. Buddy hopes now to find an active home, with people which would like to go on long walks with him. That he landed in the pound implies that he had owners before, who he didn´t care about him. Name: Kori (female) Date of birth: February 2011 Height to shoulder: 34 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: yes ok with dogs, not good with cats Homed: October 2016 Kori was brought to a shelter together with her daughter Cookie, both were not longer wanted. They kept only another younger dog. We were not happy about it, but better to bring the dog in a shelter than to put them on the streets. At first Kori was shocked in the shelter. It was loud and she missed humans around her. But with some time Kori understood that the helpers there are nice and she is safe there at least. Kori is a very friendly, lovely and funny little girl.
