He was not microchipped und so owner was found. After spending 15 days in in the pound, Lennox could find a place in a shelter. Lennox loves people, he loves to be close with people and love all attantions. He is well with the other dogs in his kennel. He needs education and he would love to visit a dog school to learn all the things he needs to know as a family dog. He don´t know to go in the leash yet. Unfortunately, he was not chipped, nor was he missing from anyone. Probably he is a discarded hunting dog, and his owner doesn´t wanted to have him any longer. Porthos is a very friendly elderly boy who is still full of energy despite his age. He has a very dear nature and is glad about every attention. Porthos has a half copied tail. She took him home and tried to find his owner. Unfortunately, Toby was not chipped and no one was missing him. His finder brought him to the vet, had him vaccinated and neutered. The family has already 4 dogs, and all family members have tried to find a home on the island for Toby. Unfortunately unsuccessful. That’s why he got the chance now to find a home by us. Fortunately he can stay with the family until he has found a home. Toby is a very kind and friendly young dog, who looks a bit shy in the first contact, but as soon as everything is familiar to him he shows his beautiful, playful and cheerful character. They are people who don´t let their females castrated and given up the responsibility. It is not correct, but better to give them up as to exposed their somewhere in nowhere. All three were shy and anxious when they arrived at the shelter, which shows that they had too less human contact before. Now in the shelter they get human attention for the first time and slowly slowly they get more confidence. With other puppies they are really well. It is known that the mother is a poodle and the father is a German Spitz. So we assume that they will be no bigger dogs. Every day we received requests and help calls from tourists, residents, volunteers … for help with dogs, for support, for taking dogs etc. At the moment we can only say, sorry, but all partner shelters are full, more full, fullest. All shelters are overcrowded and no, they can not take any dogs. Not 3, not 2 and even not only one. You have to imagine what it means that all kennels are full. Many dogs with different characters on a small area in the kennel. You can not put always more and more dogs in, or you want, that the dogs will go in fights with each other. We don´t want to stress the dogs more that they already are, because no shelter should be the right place for a dog! We only can appeal to all people who have dogs in Cyprus: please neuter your dogs. You all can change the dog welfare situation in future, when you neuter your dog and no unwanted puppies were procreated! It is NO solution to let their dogs procreate more and more puppies, because you don´t care and then escape your responsibility and thrown the puppies out of the streets or in front of vet practices or in garden of volunteers.
