Happy End of Colin

Colin is living for almost four years in Germany. He has moved at the age of 9 weeks in November 2010 to his family. For the family was the arrival at the Hamburg Airport very emotional. Colin is doing very well in Germany. He has now also been a 1.5 years old girlfriend. She is called Lotte and is a French Bulldog. The two love each other and get along very well. For the family it was very difficult to find a second dog for Colin because Colin does not get along with all dogs. He must have had bad experience in Cyprus. But that’s over now and all is well. Best regards, Colin and family       Related...

Kimy – is looking for a sponsor

Kimy was born about 2004. He came to the shelter with his girlfriend Tofy in August 2009. Until then, his life was perfect and he was happy in his home. With Tofy he had a good friend and he had a good family with lots of love. Tragically, Kimy, Tofy and their owner went for a walk along the cliffs on a terrible day in the summer of 2009. The owner fell down the cliff and died from it. After this incident everything happened very quickly. Kimy´s mum and the daughter were grief stricken, as they suffered a big loss, but their health did not allow them to continue to care for Kimy and Tofy, and so Kimy had to move, with Tofy, to the shelter. At first it was very difficult for them because they had previously had such a good and beautiful life. Unfortunately, due to his health problems, Kimy has not had  a chance to find a new home. Now his girlfriend, Tofy, has also died and Kimy is all alone and he suffers. We are looking for a sponsor for Kimy who will support him from a distance and helps us a little with vet costs. Would you like to be his sponsor?       Related...

Trim (J)

Date of birth: May 2014 High to shoulder: 25 cm Vaccinated: yes Neutered: not yet Homed:  September 2014   Trim was found together with his mother, his siblings, another mother dog and her puppies under a container, where the dogs lived, far outside from Limassol. We assume , that they were abondoned there and left to their certain death. In the enormous heat that just exists on Cyprus, they would sooner or later die of thirst and internally dry. All puppies were absolutely filthy and over and over full of fleas. Soon they had sucked the last blood. They were rescued and are now living in a shelter. They all have recovered, the fleas are gone and all puppies are normal playful puppies who enjoy their lives. They have a lot of fun together. Trim is a little bit shy towards people, but this will settle soon. Would you like to give Trim a loving home? Then please contact us.   Trim June 2014:   Trim August 2014:   Related...

Happy End of Arnold

The small Arnold had birthday and he is now 3 years old. His mommy wishes him all the best. She describes him as a little heartbeat on four paws! His mom writes: today you are „already“ three years old. To me it seems like it was only yesterday that I held you for the first time as a mini worm in my arms. The time with you flies by and you’re everything to me, my heart dog. I do not want to miss one second with you and I pray fervently that follow many many more years. You are perfect – perfect for you, perfect for me. We are one, and what is between us, every day grows a bit more. I will continue to take care of you, my little soul.       Related...

Happy End of Frieda formerly Sandra

Her mom writes: I saw you and thought, „My goodness, the dog comes never out from the shelter. A large and dark hunting dog. She has no chance of a life outside of the shelter!“ It was planned to include them as a foster dog. She was the first dog I could resume after my soul dog Roxy went over the rainbow bridge. Then it was time: on 18th July 2013 you came with a flight sponsor and landet at the Hamburg airport. It was something different than in many other foster dogs. The first day I will not forget… you came into our yard, have your legs over each other and watched us as if you wanted to tell us: „Well, finally, it was time to pick me up“! All took you up warmly. Even our dog Arny was in love with you, even though you wanted to have your rest after the stressful journey, but you had shown him clearly and distinctly what you want from him and he was even more in love with you. I continued my foster work, I made beautiful photos of you, wrote an update and a diary and then 4 months have passed… Frieda was already a part of our family. Frieda was a very nervous dog what she is still today. She is not fidgety or hyperactive, just nervous. She has her own way of expressing herselves. I slowly began to like her funny way. Sometime I asked myself whether I could give her away at all… because she came, saw and conquered. Yes she crept into my heart. The decisive point was when we trained together. I just got out of bed, I said to Frieda that she should make „lay down“ and she heard super. She made „lay down“ and for that she got a little treat. Frieda went into the bedroom and placed the treat on my pillow. I was so touched that I went ahead of her to the ground, gave her the treat and said, „You Frieda, you do not need to share with me, because I’ll keep you.“ Now for almost a year she is my Frieda. THANK YOU for this great dog!   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUT5HVV9xqQ&list=UUwwZs43WlqATMeS3vMjmf9Q   Related...
