Robbie and Gypsy – two dogs, two fates

Robbie was bought as a puppy, but the owner lost the interest in him. When this happened we do not know exactly. Anyway, he eked out from the moment his life on the balcony, on a short leash attached, all alone. There it was not often cleaned, as animal rights activists picked him up there he stood in his own feces. In summer, animal rights activists were aware of Robbie, as they were informed that because a dog is tied up on the balcony and his owners are gone on holiday. The neighbors have thrown him food on the balcony and supplies him with water. Now the animal rights activists explained the owners that they need to leave him and Robbie was able to move in a shelter. Despite all this, Robbie is a happy little dog who enjoys it now to get attention from the shelter volunteers. We hope that we find a family soon for him and he is never left alone again. Also Gypsy was bought as a puppy, and has lived in a car wash who the owner operates. Gypsy had no bad life before, but one the day his owner made the decision that he wants him no longer. Why he wanted to get rid of him, unfortunately we do not know. His owner took him in his car and drove for miles away with Gypsy and put him out! And the incredible happened after few days Gypsy was back on the farm, he had found his way home!!! Nevertheless, his owner still wanted to get rid of him. Fortunately, an animal rights activist was aware of the situation and called us. Gypsy´s story broke our heart, like the story of Robbie, and of course Gypsy could also come to us. Who knows what Gypsy´s owner would have for a next idea to put him out… We also hope that we find a family for Gypsy soon, a family who loves him as Gypsy will love his people.   Related...

Thank you and Goodbye

Since March 2012 Carole Husein worked with her heart and soul for our Cyprus dogs as a trainer. She worked especially for a better life for our fearful dogs and changes their lives in a very better direction. She also put her energy in the training of people, and was able to build a small but fine trainer team. Carole has now decided, to our great regret, to leave Cyprus and to go back to England with her husband and her animals. This week Carole had her last day and said goodbye to all dogs with a heavy heart. Our small team of trainers will do their best to continue the work for the dogs with all what they have learned. Thank you very much Carole for all the help for the many dogs. You has changed their lives and helped the dogs to start a better life. Carole, we wish you and your family for your new life in England all the best. Your CyDRA – Team     Related...

Happy End of Capper, formerly Bruce

Hi together, finally we manage to send a few pictures of Capper (formerly Bruce) and write a little bit about him. Capper has super settled in and learned a lot. He is very attentive and willing to learn. We recently started to go to dog school, which he has a lot of fun. Otherwise he enjoys here the forest and walks. We are pleased that Capper understands very well with our Labrador bitch. Both love to play and be happy together. He has found a good new home with us, we all are very happy together. Best wishes, Capper and family       Related...
